Terms of Service

Effective 6 July 2026

By using AIRs Network you agree to these terms. AIRs is a verified, invite-quality professional network for the IIT community — the rules below exist to keep it high-trust and family-grade.

Eligibility & verification

Membership is for current students and alumni of the IITs. You must be at least 18 years old.
You must sign in with your own LinkedIn account and provide truthful verification details (institute email or roll number). Verification is performed by AIRs Network, not by any institute.
Misrepresenting your identity, campus, age, or credentials is grounds for immediate removal.

Community rules

Real talk, not abuse: no harassment, hate speech, doxxing, or threats. Anonymous posting is for honesty, not cruelty.
Do not attempt to unmask anonymous members or reverse-engineer compensation data.
Salary contributions must be your own, real numbers. Jobs and internships must be genuine openings; postings are human-reviewed before going live.
No spam, scraping, unauthorized bots, mass outreach, or reselling of network data.
Respect the DM shields: repeated unwanted outreach after a decline or block is a violation.

Prohibited content

In line with Indian intermediary law, do not post or share content that: is obscene, pornographic, or invasive of another’s privacy (including bodily privacy); is harmful to children; impersonates another person; is knowingly false or misleading; harasses on the basis of gender, religion, caste, or ethnicity; infringes intellectual-property rights; contains malware; threatens the unity, integrity, sovereignty, or security of India or public order; or is a deceptive synthetic/AI-generated depiction of a real person (deepfake) presented as genuine. Violations can lead to content removal and account termination, and we comply with lawful takedown requests. We’ll remind members of these rules at least once a year.

Your content

You own what you post. You grant AIRs a licence to display and distribute it within the network so the product can function. You can delete your posts, jobs, and events anytime, and deleting your account removes your content.

Moderation & enforcement

We may remove content, reject postings, suspend, or ban accounts that break these rules — including via anonymized moderation (we act on hashed identifiers without unmasking anonymous authors). Verified badges may be revoked if verification was fraudulent.

Disclaimers

Compensation figures are member-contributed and aggregated — use them as signal, not gospel.
Jobs, internships, and investment conversations are between members; AIRs is not a party to, and doesn’t guarantee, any offer or transaction.
The service is provided “as is” during our early-access phase; features may change, and to the extent permitted by law we disclaim warranties and limit liability to the amount you paid us (currently ₹0).
AIRs Network is an independent community platform built by and for students and alumni of the IITs. It is not affiliated with, operated by, endorsed by, or sponsored by any Indian Institute of Technology, IIT Kharagpur, the IIT Council, or the Government of India. “IIT” and institute names are used solely to describe our members’ institutions and belong to their respective owners. Member verification is performed by AIRs Network, not by any institute.

Grievance Officer

Anuroop Anand Perli — reachable via the in-app Feedback form (Settings → Send feedback). Complaints are acknowledged within 24 hours and resolved within 15 days; complaints about impersonation or content showing a person in a private act or nudity are actioned within 24 hours.
